How to Track a Colissimo Package
Follow these steps to get real-time status on any Colissimo shipment.
To track a Colissimo parcel, go to laposte.fr and select 'Suivre mon colis' (Track my parcel) from the menu. Enter your UPU S10 tracking number (e.g., 6A123456785FR) and click Rechercher
The tracking page displays the current status, scan history with timestamps and locations, and the estimated delivery date. La Poste also sends automated email and SMS notifications to recipients when parcels are out for delivery and after delivery or an attempted delivery
The La Poste application (iOS and Android) provides the same tracking functionality with push notifications. For shipments destined outside France, tracking updates may be provided by the destination country's postal operator after the parcel clears French customs
Common Colissimo Tracking Problems
Expand each issue for the cause, what to do, and when to call Colissimo directly.
Tracking stuck at 'En cours d'acheminement' for several days
Colissimo does not provide real-time scans. Between major logistics platforms there can be gaps of 2-3 days with no update - this does not mean the parcel is lost.
Wait 3 business days. For international shipments, wait up to 7 business days before raising a concern.
If no update for more than 4 business days (domestic) or 10 business days (international), contact La Poste customer service.
Delivery attempted - calling card left, parcel at post office
Recipient was absent when the postman attempted delivery. Parcel is held at the local post office.
Use the avis de passage card to request a new delivery attempt online (laposte.fr) or collect from the post office within 15 days with ID.
After 15 days of non-collection, the parcel is returned to sender. Contact La Poste before this deadline.
International shipment handed to foreign carrier with no updates
Once Colissimo hands the parcel to the destination country's postal operator, tracking visibility depends on that operator's system.
Track the parcel using the same tracking number on the destination country's postal website (e.g., Royal Mail, Deutsche Post, etc.).
If the destination carrier shows no updates after 10 business days, file a claim with La Poste.
Lost tracking number
Recipient does not have the tracking number from the sender.
Contact the merchant or sender to retrieve the tracking number from their shipping confirmation.
If the sender cannot provide the number, have them open an inquiry with La Poste using the shipment record.
